Data management policies are very powerful tools for automated data management. Administrators can define rules that execute various actions based on customizable filtering criteria.

💡The policies are executed by the Verba Storage Management Service and/or the Import Service on either Recording servers or media repositories.

✅Before a data management policy can be configured, there has to be a valid storage target available. The location is usually configured as a share drive with the correct user permissions applied.

✅ You need to be logged in as an administrator to have access to Data Management Policies.

Viewing Data Management Policies

To view the data management policies, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to Data > Data Management > Data Management Policies.
   ⮑ You find the data policies listed.
2. Select any of the data management policies listed to display the configuration.
